This study analyzes a subset of the CheckMate 227 (CM227) trial, demonstrating that a CT-derived biomarker combining tumor texture and vessel tortuosity (MCombo) predicts immunotherapy (IO) response in metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (mNSCLC) but not chemotherapy (Ch) response. MCombo was significantly associated with overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) in IO-treated patients but not in Ch-treated patients. These findings suggest MCombo as a potential predictive biomarker for IO response, warranting further validation in the full CM227 cohort.
